    On 10 October 2011 the new PhD Regulations became effective.

    The PhD regulations apply to all new PhD candidates who started their doctorate after the 10 October 2011. Candidates who were accepted as PhD students at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy before this date can finish their doctorate according to the old regulations from 1987.

    Important Information for PhD Students

    Before starting your PhD:

    1. Conclude the Supervision Agreement (form)
    2. Apply for admission (leaflet)

    During the doctorate:

    1. Take part in taught courses (form)
    2. Make annual reports (form)
    3. Apply for a cumulative dissertation if desired (leaflet)

    After finishing your thesis:

    1. Apply for Admission of the Doctoral Examination (leaflet)
